Koh Samui, Thailand
Pure relaxation on a private island resort, Cape Fahn
After more traveling than vacationing, we decided to slow down the pace and switch to relaxation mode at a private island resort called Cape Fahn on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
My husband and I are not big “vacationers,” which is why you won’t see a ton of our travels categorized as “Here.” That doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy relaxing, but when it does happen, we make sure the place is really special.
After an intense couple of months in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam, we decided to slow down our pace and spend time recharging on Koh Samui.
Koh Samui is one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations with unbelievable beaches, but we found a serene resort situated on its own private island. Cape Fahn offers delicious Thai food, villas with ocean views and private pools, welcome baskets, cloud-like king-sized beds, a beautiful gym if you’d like to get a little exercise in, and the most welcoming people.
Depending on the tide, you can either wade through shallow waters to get to Cape Fahn or take a truck that’s been souped-up to safely drive you there.
It’s very easy to come and go, so if you’d like a little more adventure, you can easily access nearby beaches that offer incredible and inexpensive oceanfront Thai massages and water activities, like jet skiing.
Soak in the serenity!
